Forward deployed engineer

What you do. You build the pipelines that generate catalogues of thousands of products and you connect them to the client's PIM or ERP. On day one you map the problem; six months later, if it breaks in production, you are the one who answers.
Stack. Python, LLMs in production, PIM and ERP APIs, code that goes live rather than into a demo.
Not for you if. You want to do research or train models from scratch. Here you put other people's models into production.
ApplyIntegration engineer
Reggio Emilia or hybrid · Permanent · 2-4 years
What you do. You connect our systems to the clients': PIM, ERP, DAM, CMS, marketplaces. You read badly written documentation and make it work anyway.
Stack. Python or Node, REST and webhooks, and the dirty formats of the real world: hand-made CSVs, XML from 2009, scanned PDFs.
Not for you if. You want a stable product with a closed spec. Every client has their own chaos, and the chaos is the job.

What you do. You take AIR Now to companies with large catalogues. Outbound, first call, demo. You are selling something the client can try on their own in thirty seconds, which changes the conversation quite a lot.
What it takes. Having sold software or services to established mid-sized companies, and understanding an e-commerce operation without needing it explained twice.
Not for you if. You need a closed price list and an assigned territory. Here you build the process while you sell.
